I’m in a dress makers shop and I’m looking around at dresses. There are women looking for dresses and I’m just browsing. One of the people who works there shows me this special stage trap door that can spring me up onto a little stage in the shop but I’m too heavy for it to work properly. Then I take off my clothes and wrap myself in a blanket as I look around for dresses. The shopkeeper tells me that these dresses are being Tailored and I have to bring my own. I can’t try any of these dresses on. At some point all the people in the store gather around and sit down for a meeting. I’m not shy but I stay off to the side. Then I find a picture hanging on the wall and I see pictures of my mother and then a picture of me. Then we figure out the shopkeeper is the daughter of someone my mother knew who died. She’s excited and then we get into a car and drive off somewhere in the countryside. But when we turn off onto a road that goes towards my nieces village. It’s blocked by construction and we have to turn around.
This dream may suggest that you are currently searching for or considering different options or choices in your life. The dress makers' shop and the dresses could symbolize various options that are available to you. However, you may feel restricted in your choices or may not be able to try anything out just yet, as represented by the tailor's request that you bring your own clothes. The trap door that you are too heavy for could represent a fear or feeling of being held back. The picture of your mother and yourself on the wall could represent a connection with your past and your roots. The meeting with others in the store could suggest the need for collaboration or the influence of others in your decision-making process. The revelation that the shopkeeper is connected to someone your mother knew who passed away and the subsequent drive to the countryside could represent an emotional or spiritual journey into your past. However, the roadblock towards your nieces' village suggests a potential obstacle or detour in this journey. It may be a reminder to be patient and open to new pathways.
